Its Game 4 of the NBA Finals and the Los Angeles Lakers are looking to settle the score with the Boston Celtics. In game 3, Kobe finally found his rythym and was able to get pass the Celtics in a game that everybody knew L.A would win. Game 4 looks to be the pivotal game being that L.A gets to stay home for three. The Celtics must win a game in L.A in order to escape the wrath of going back home down 2-3. Rajon Rondo who was hurt in game 3 and missed valuable time in game 3, may see the floor tonight for Boston. If he does, and is able to contribute the way he has in game 1 and 2, then I look for the Celtics to steal game 4 and go up 3-1. Pau Gasol and Lamar Odom have been slacking for the Lakers who found relief off the bench, finally, from Sasha Vujacic(20 points). For L.A to win they will need that same intensity off their bench. Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce who struggled early in Game 3 should bounce back nicely and provide the Celtics with solid offense. Again, the road to the championship goes through the Celtics offense or the Lakers defense. Forget about the stats, whichever side of the ball displays its will, will win game 4. Prediction: The Lakers are at home so everybody expects them to win. sorry to say, but i'm going out on a limb here. The Boston Celtics will win game 4 because they are the better team. Up until now, this series has been predictable as well as un-entertaining. So much, that stories of the cheating referee(no names mentioned) has been resurfaced. Lets see if I'm right!!! See you at the game!!!

The Celtics lead the series 1-0 over the lakers. I asked " Dillen, the cool" who would win, and he said "The Boston Celtics", if "Mo-Mo" were here, I'd think that he'd agree. The Celtics defense was good in game 1, but in order to win on Sunday their defense will have to be great! Rajon Rondo played a solid game 1 and if he continues to stay scrappy on the defensive end while getting the team set-up offensively, 3xD will handle the rest...Three times Dope!!! Kevin Garnett,Paul Pierce, and Ray Allen looked like the team we all suspected at times during Game 1. If Kendrick Perkins stays out of foul trouble, the Celtics will cruise easily. If not, I think the Celtics bench has been a spark all year around. Either way you put it, The Celtics will defeat the Lakers in Game 2( Unless there's an Act of God!!!) If God sent us someone to show us "The Beauty of Basketball", he'd probably send someone like Kobe Bryant(2008 MVP).The Lakers have to slow down the Celtics offense, and Kobe has to ignite The Lakers offense in every way in oder to beat the home team. Pau Gasol and Lamar Odom have to be on top of their games. Look for production out of Derek Fisher and Vladimir Radmanovic, however, The Celtics will win and head out west with a 2-0 lead in the 2008 NBA Finals...See you at the game.

With the game on the line. The Boston Celtics host the The Los Angeles Lakers in Game 1 of the 2008 NBA Finals. This is not a repeat of the 1987 NBA Finals (that featured both teams) although the teams are built similar. The Celtics have the "Big 3" with Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen and Paul Pierce in comparison with Robert Parish, Kevin Mchale and Larry Bird. Three great players, two diffrent teams. The Celtics have to play aggressive on the offenssive end of the court, while maintaining their league's best defense in order to win. The Lakers, who are bringing in Kobe Bryant, Pau Gasol and Lamar Odom are also built to that 1987 running team of Magic Johnson, James Worthy and Kareem Abdul-Jabaar. This 2008 NBA Finals looks to be very exciting!!! The Lakers must slow down the Celtics offense in order to win!!! I belive that Rajon Rondo and Kendrick Perkins will have bigger impacts than Derek Fischer and Vladimir Radmanovic. The Celtics will win Game 1 but look for the Lakers to compete with great intensity. I think the Lakers will be a better bet for Game 2. My Prediction: The Boston Celtics will defeat The Los Angeles Lakers and go on to a 1-0 lead in the 2008 NBA Finals. More action Tonight.........

It seems that this year the The New York Yankees won't be sending more than 1 (maybe 2) players to the All Star game being held in Yankee Stadium. Johnny Damon had a stellar month in May, but can he keep it up? Alex Rodriguez went down and bounced back nicely. Derek Jeter has been up and down all year, and Jorge Posada is still out. With the All Star game only about a month away it will be intresting to see which New York Yankees will be representing for the home team. I honestly believe that the Yankees, if they do send someone to the star studded event, will actually have done so because of the marquee names they have on their roster and not their players stats. Yankee fans are not even buzzing with anticipation being that the big weekend will be held in New York. It seems that New York fans are actually anticipating not having a Yankee representative starting, or even playing for that matter. Although the Yankees usually heat up around the end of July, I don't see them competing this year for a run at the playoffs. Chien-Ming Wang is the only player on this team that could get the nod strictly on numbers. Well, we will wait and see how things turn out but I already know, maybe next year in the new Stadium guys!!!
