Bye-bye Barry Bonds

Let me see if I have this right:  Barry Bonds learns early on as the skilled but spoiled brat son of a superstar that he can pretty much make his own rules.  He follows this path through high school and college to the extent that when his college coach tosses him from the team, then reconsiders, his teammates vote to not bring him back.

This behavior continues in the big leagues as Barry drives away San Francisco Giants teammates in droves -- some leaving only after slugging the slugger.  He treats everyone like crap, bullies media and anyone else who might have the audacity to question him, then decides to build on this foundation of humanity by allegedly taking an alleged performance enhancer.

What a coincidence that Barry was allegedly using the same steroid blocking substances made by the same company linked to other alleged cheaters – many of whom have been banned, are in prison or on the way.

Now, Barry wonders why he can’t find a job, the latest snub coming from the Toronto Blue Jays.  Who would hire this clubhouse cancer? And a broken down cancer, at that.  At 43 he’s not quite as (ahem) durable as he was when fully juiced and the only time he hustles is when he’s seated before a grand jury.  What would be the upside be here?

Put a pair of glasses on him and let him earn a few bucks playing Mr. Potato Head at children’s parties – but don’t let him back in the clubhouse.
