Yankees VS Tigers gm. 3 of 3 PRE GAME THOUGHTS

Well it's official...The Yankees have more injuries than Roger Clemens has girlfriends (or do they?)

Phil Hughes is gone until at least July and the Yanks' injury troubles continue to mount.

Nonetheless, they have actually still have enough players to field a team tonight, as they try to avoid a sweep at the hands of the Detroit Tigers.

As I said in an earlier post, a quality start by Ian Kennedy tonight and a lot of the bad feelings that have formed over the past few days can be eased.  Obviously, a good start does not cancel out all of the injuries, but at least one of the burning questions can be brushed aside for the time being.

Nate Robertson oppoes Kennedy tonight.  Robertson is defintely hittable and that can only be good news for a Yankee offense that needs to wake up in a hurry.  They HAVE TO start hitting with runners in scoring positions.  Without A-Rod and Posada they cannot afford to miss out on capitalizing on scoring chances, simple as that.

Help us, Mr Kennedy!
