Yankees VS Indians gm. 2 of 3 POST GAME THOUGHTS

Sorry for the lack of pre-game thoughts...goddam traffic.

Well any Yankee fans that doubted Cliff Lee’s start are silent tonight.  He was dominant for 7 innings, plain and simple.  For the most part, Chien-Ming Wang was good, despite a few early mistakes.

Johnathan Albaladejo was able to work into and out of a jam in the 9th inning to help keep it to a reasonable deficit but in the end, the Yankees’ offense was nowhere to be found.

Just one of those nights where you have to tip your cap to the better pitcher and perhaps the best pitcher in the AL…his stats are certainly proving it up until this point.

THE GOOD:

Chien-Ming Wang…3 runs on 5 hits and 3 walks over 7 innings is not terrible…it was enough to earn a loss tonight though.

Kyle Farnsworth…another good inning.

THE BAD:

Yankees offense…obviously getting shut out is enough to fall into this category and on some nights it is good enough to be considered ‘ugly.’  However, like I said before, tonight was more about good pitching than bad hitting.

THE UGLY:

I take that back, a shutout is ALWAYS ugly.

Afternoon game tomorrow to wrap up this series…Would be nice for the Yankees to finish this very up and down home stand with a win before they go out to Detroit for the weekend.

Hopefully Moose can build on the momentum from his last start.
