chups.

The Jets currently stand one victory away from making their first appearance in the Super Bowl since 1969.

In their last championship season 41 years ago, the Jets were considered colossal underdogs in

the freakin' Cardinals are in the Super Bowl. For me this is just something that I've thought was impossible for at least the last 20 years. I am not a Cardinal fan at all. I just have a mutual respect for them out of the love for the game that I have. I also had the pleasure of serving in Iraq with late Pat Tillman. I follow the Cardinals kind of like my In-Laws. When something important happens I take notice, but most of the time I could care less. What a fool I was!

ionships, Gruden has got to be heralded as the greatest coach in Bucs history delivering their only Super Bowl in 2002. They have had several playoff years in his tenure, and despite an unexpected collapse at the end of this season were on pace to make the playoffs again safter starting 9-3.

Cedric Benson; ring any bells? Why the Bears elected to go with Benson instead of Jones after their Super Bowl run two years ago is beyond me. I think that Forte shows high aspirations of filling his shoes. While he seemed a bit banged up towards the end of the season, I think that he is a solid back that could leave Chicago as one of the greats in team history. I'm not sure he would rank with the likes of Jim brown, or Walter Payton, but only time will tell.

gh's content with controlled conservatism which fits his roster, but may not be enough to bring the Super Bowl trophy back to Baltimore.

The Steelers can beat you solely with defense, and the same can be said of the Ravens. But let's face it, the Ravens won't be lighting up the scoreboard any time soon, whereas the Steelers have the ability to do exactly that.

It's been just three days since the Giants won the Super Bowl and to tell you the truth, each day just keeps getting better.  The weather is warmer, jokes are funnier and the highlight clips are endless.  I mean, how many times have you watched the Manning to Tyree play?  Today I want to get into Eli, Strahan, the Coach, and the Tom Brady Snub

I told myself that I was not going to write a blog entry following the Super Bowl. Whatever the outcome would be, I figured that I would be too emotional and exhausted to dictate my thoughts into the computer for thirty minutes.. But the GIANTS won!!!!!! They did it!!!! In one  of the greatest stories in the history of New York sports the Jints derailed the New England Patriots' pursuit for Perfection. After an unforgettable game for the ages the Giants lifted the Vince Lombardi in the heart of the Arizona desert. And I'm speechless. No, I'm not speechless. I just keep screaming the same word to myself while smiling and pumping my fists, "YES"!! "YES"!! "YES"!! Sing it like Marv Albert.

ting outcomes of football games, although last year I nearly predicted the exact final score of the Super Bowl while hitting on seven of my nine prop bets. (My prediction was 26-17, the final was 29-17.) For whatever reason I had a very good feel for that game. This year's

After nearly two weeks, my mind is made up. I'm ready for Super Bowl prediction and I'll be damned if I'm wrong on this one. For the last thirteen days I have obsessed over this one game, unlike any other in my almost 27 years. Day after day I'm constantly looking at the storyline. I guess the reasons why I am so jacked are:

Ya see, if the Giants truly want to win this Super Bowl, if they want to bring glory to the greatest city in the world, they are going to have to hit Tom Brady like he has never been hit before. They need to hit him in the legs, throw him to the ground, and even attack that famous gimpy ankle of his. The only way the Giants get to lift that glorious silver Lombardi trophy is by leaving Tom Brady lying on the ground like a wounded soldier. A wounded soldier who throws wounded ducks.

have now waited twelve days since the Green Bay win and you are coming up on 48 hours away from the Super Bowl. Your legs are shaking, you're on your fourth cup of coffee (or Pepsi in my case) and you go to ESPN.com ten times before noon. Not to mention, you have read the sports pages of the New York Post and the Daily News three times each, front to back, strictly Giants coverage. Jeez, will they play this damn game already?!?!?!?

im to throw extra motivation to the New England Patriots

The reason the Giants are playing in the Super Bowl is because of the team's focus. The team is always completely focused on the next game. (In this case, it's the last game, win or lose.) But, if we take this a step further, we can say that one of the big reasons for the Giants' success is that the team has finally bought into Coughlin's system. Not only have the players established a faith and trust in the coach, but there are even some, like Antonio Pierce, who would jump through a brick wall for the man.

The two major trends going into Super Bowl XLII are the Patriots' utter domination in the win column, and the Giants' road winning streak, which is pretty remarkable in its own right. One of those trends will come to an end in less than a week.
