Former Tennessee Titans and Baltimore Ravens star quarterback Steve McNair was shot and killed Saturday night in his downtown Nashville condominium.

Nashville authorities have indicated that McNair, 36, may have been slain by his 20-year-old mistress, Sahel Kazemi, in a murder-suicide.

8-Albert Haynesworth-DT, Tennessee Titans

The big fella at the heart of the intimidating Tennessee defense is the most versatile defensive tackle in the league. Albert plugs running lanes with his raw size and keen understanding of positioning, but he can also get after the quarterback with surprising speed.

bout the American Football Conference this season is…

Drum roll please…

The Tennessee Titans at a whopping 9-0 currently! This is surprising, but not the real surprise! The real surprise is Quarterback Kerry Collins! Leading an undefeated, AFC leading Titans squad! Unbelievable! Collins couldn’t get out of his own way in New York or Oakland, and now he is undefeated! Herein lays the weirdness.

Not to mention that his Tennessee Titans are the only undefeated team in the league right now sitting at 6-0. Not bad for a second round, # 45 pick.

bye week and the soft part of the schedule, eh?) before hosting a rematch with Division leader, the Tennessee Titans, which already sounds like the type of game that could change a season if everything goes well.

With the MLB playoffs set to begin, there is a subtle difference in the air compared to start of any other postseason. In the NHL, fans can potentially look forward to a great Canadians/Bruins series that is not only exciting, but has a historical kick to it. Both teams surprisingly stand at 1-2 behind the unexpected division leader, the Tennessee Titans, at 3-0.

uggishness was confirmed in a troubling 17-10 loss to its division rival and nemesis-in-the-making, Tennessee Titans. It was the second straight season Tennessee handed Jacksonville a season-opening loss. The effort came after former Broncos all-pro Tight End Shannon Sharp predicted the Jags would win the Super Bowl this year. Though an opening loss is no reason to panic, much work is left to be done and gaps left to be filled.

Thank you, Derrick Harvey, for gracing Jacksonville with your presence, even if your uneventful debut precluded your first practice.

All three QBs tossed a touchdown pass and the defense was stellar as the Jacksonville Jaguars completed a 3-1 preseason--most importantly with no significant injuries--with Thursday night's 24-3 win over the struggling Redskins. The win was Jacksonville's first dominating one as they outgained the 'Skins 339-176, more than doubled them in first downs, converted ten of seventeen third downs, and held the ball thirteen minutes longer than Washington.
